I have jumped back into quilting in the craziest way possible...a pixel quilt. My daughter absolutely loves flamingos and I came across this cute flamingo quilt pattern at Flamingo Toes. When I saw this pattern, I just knew that it was going to be my first step back into the quilt world. It has definitely been an adjustment sewing/quilting around a toddler and making sure that she isn't stealing my straight-pins. Ha! When I am done with this quilt it is going to be a big one. Each square measures 2inch X 2inch and there are over 1,000 squares. It should make a nice Full size quilt after it is all said and done.
Here is my interpretation of the Flamingo quilt with my daughters favorite colors.

What do you think? Should I add a colorful border around it before it gets quilted?
